Hamburger Model for civil servants
(Related theme: Hamburger Model for employees covered by collective agreements )
The Hamburger Model is a measure for the phased reintegration into working life, up to full capacity.
On the basis of the recommendation of the doctor in charge and their confirmation of limited employment as a rehabilitation measure, the civil servant is granted a partial exemption from duties.
The civil servant is regarded as fit for service for the period of the Hamburger Model.
The approved absence from service during the period of the Hamburger Model has no effect on the level of remuneration.
Taking of convalescence leave during the period of approved absence is, in principle, possible.
Please note that you are required to immediately report any possible new disability for service that arises during a period of approved absence.
